Club members enjoy preferred status at this Keith Foster-designed 18-hole course, which lies just downhill from the resort. Famous for its "Wicked 6" holes, the course begins at the upper mouth of a canyon and descends switchback-style to the canyon floor. There's plenty to keep players interested, including the stunning views.
The resort pools consist of a 2,200 square-foot social pool, a 1,000 square-foot two lane lap pool, and secluded mountainside jacuzzi.

The Club at CopperWynd offers over 35 fitness and aerobics classes weekly. Members are able to relieve stress and improve flexibility with a hot yoga class, tone their muscles by attending Pilates, relax with the slow graceful movements of Tai Chi, and get energized by the excitement of Zumba every single week.
A combination of Pilates, yoga and traditional sport training exercises are used to improve abdominal, back and stabilizing muscle strength.
Shallow water class utilizing pool toys for added buoyancy and flotation. Hydro-tone paddles and booties will be used to give you resistance in water for maximum muscle toning. Advanced Aqua - 40 min. high-intensity aerobic conditioning.

Yoga Barre incorporating traditional Yoga poses and the ballet barre. The barre gives the participant stability to allow for deeper stretching and strength movements.
Power Flow Yoga links together the movement and breath of the yoga poses. One pose flows into the next cultivating balance, strength, flexibility and endurance. A fitness-based approach with less emphasis on detailed instruction for intermediate and advanced students.
Therapeutic Yoga Based on therapeutic exercises for the neck, shoulders, lower back, knees and other physical issues to fine tune one's ability to move gracefully and efficiently. The end result is deep relaxation.
Gentle Yoga A 45-minute practice for the neck and shoulders, followed by a 45-minute class for the lower back and hips.
Meditation For 10 minutes, students will explore the use of sound to lengthen the breath and quiet the mind. The remainder of the class will be a seated or supine experience of silence and mindfulness.

The feel happy workout. ZUMBA is a fusion of Latin and International dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system. Q: What is the membership opportunity at The Club?
A: The Club at CopperWynd is an exclusive private country club located in the CopperWynd residential community on the border of Scottsdale and Fountain Hills, Arizona, featuring outstanding tennis, swimming, fitness, spa, dining, social and lodging facilities. The Club’s services and facilities are available to both residents of The Villas at CopperWynd and Cordabella at CopperWynd, as well as to residents from the surrounding communities. There are two classifications of memberships available: Premier and Signature.

Premier members will enjoy a four-day advance sign-up privilege to reserve tennis courts and are not required to pay court fees.
Signature membership offers members access to the swimming areas, Fitness Center and programs, spa facilities and services, dining and other clubhouse amenities, as well as all of the social activities and programs The Club offers.
Q: What am I obligated to pay for a membership in The Club?
A: You are obligated to pay a non-refundable initation fee for the Premier and Signature memberships in an amount determined by The Club from time to time, together with the applicable monthly dues.
Q: May I invite guests to The Club?
A: Having your friends enjoy The Club’s outstanding facilities with you is a wonderful attribute of membership in The Club. Therefore, members are encouraged to invite guests to The Club upon payment of a guest fee and subject to reasonable rules and regulations adopted by The Club to preserve the exclusivity of its facilities and their availability for members.
Q: Will my family members be welcome at The Club?
A: The ability to spend quality time with members of the family is of paramount importance. The Club is committed to providing a pleasant environment where this can be accomplished. Each membership in The Club is a family membership, which includes full privileges for spouses and unmarried children under the age of 23, who either live at home or attend school on a full-time basis. The Club intends to provide programs and activities that are appealing to family members of all ages.
Q: Can members be assessed to cover any operating deficits or capital improvements?
A: No. Members will not be subject to any assessments for operating deficits or capital improvements. The Owner will be responsible for all deficits incurred in the operation of The Club and its facilities and for the cost of all capital improvements.
Q: Will there be any other types of membership available in The Club?
A: The Club will offer Corporate Memberships to businesses in the surrounding community. Corporate Members will have the same access to The Club Facilities as a regular Member in the corresponding category of membership. The Club will also offer a limited number of Honorary Memberships to designated persons.
Q: How do I become a Member?
A: To become a Member of The Club, you must submit to The Club a fully completed and signed Membership Agreement, together with a check in the amount of 50% of the required initation fee for Premier or Signature memberships. The balance will be due after 90 days. The Agreement and the check should be submitted to the Membership Director.

Kendal Yonomoto is the author of “The Athletic Fundamentals of Golf”, which describes a new paradigm is sports training. It is a physics based set of 8 Athletic Movement Principles that he has uses to coach golf technique. Coaches and athletes in other major sports have recognized the Athletic Fundamentals to be a universal method that provides immediate results and long term allows you to master your sport.
Kendal has worked with several PGA Tour players including Ryan Moore (2012), Stephen Ames (2014-15), Paul Casey and his coach Peter Kostis (2014,15), and Frank Lickliter. As a Movement Coach and consultant he has worked with MMA, MLB, NHL and NFL coaches and athletes.
Current projects involve the coaching of athletes, coaches, professionals and business people to think critically and problem solve using the 8 Athletic Movement Principles as a foundation for understanding their chosen sport and applying the ability to think critically and creatively to all aspects of their lives.
A player and a coach, Kendal’s lowest competitive round is a course record 62 (-10) and he is a former member of the Canadian Professional Golf Tour and current Canadian PGA, Class “A” Teaching Professional.
Steve Lewis is a British pole vaulter. His personal best jump of 5.82 meters, set in July 2012, is the British record for the event. Indoors his best is 5.77m, achieved in Dessau on 2 March 2012.
Steve represented Great Britain at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2012 Summer Olympics and is a three-time medalist at the Commonwealth Games.
He has participated at the World Championships in Athletics on five occasions (2007, 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015).
In 2014, he won the Commonwealth Gold, completing a full set of Commonwealth medals.
Steve moved to the USA in 2013 on an Extra Ordinary Ability Visa to set up a world leading Track and Field training and education program in Arizona. He specialized in private coaching for elite level sportsmen and women before co-founding Green Box Golf with Kendal Yonomoto. Steve’s role is to empower any user to understand fundamental movements in sports and in life.
What is a Movement Coach?
A Movement Coach is a specialist that empowers athletes to improve performance in their chosen sport by improving their ability to move and to problem solve - critically think - in game situations as well as practice.
Performance in sport is influenced by many factors, skill is a large factor, so is confidence. Here are two examples of strategies we may use as Movement Coaches depending on the experience, skill and competitive age of the athlete:

We take what you have and empower your to make it better, a good example is a pro golfer or baseball player. We won’t mess with their swings, but by ensuring that their fundamental movement is inline with the 8 Athletic Movement Principles we coach athletes to make them selves better - without losing ownership of their swings.

You are a new athlete to a sport. We coach you on movement and the ability to think critically within the 8 Athletic Movement Principles to augment your skill learning and problem solving. We build the athletic, cognitive, strategic and tactical skill base either before or during your initial phases of skill acquisition and competition.

S and C, Skill, Administration, Athletes, using a simple vernacular we are able to help all part of your organization understand the sport by creating a context based on two things - movement and critical thought.
We reduce the pressure and anxiety of skill development, maintenance and trouble shooting.
As we break movements down into components based on physics principles we can see that for a right handed swinger of a golf club, a ball that travels right curving right is the product of a movement fault - a high center of gravity lateral drift. The movement tendency is the main driver of the poor technique at a global level. The fundamentals: the grip, posture, alignment, ball position, all static factors, may be sound, but the overall movement may be poor. Instead of making athletes self conscious about their technique or even worse - taking away what makes them special - we focus on improving the fundamentals of movement, controlling the club on Midline, maintaining Physical Advantage thought the movement.

Margaret is passionate about teaching Group Fitness classes, such as, Yoga, Pilates, Barre, and High-Intensity Interval Training, where she constantly challenges her participants with fresh ideas and innovative ways to condition themselves. Kara Thomas joins us from Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Resort and Spa, where she was the Fitness & Wellness Director for 9 ½ years. She has over 20 years of combined experience in Health and Wellness Management, Fitness Programming and Instruction, Wellness Retreat & Inspirational Speaker, Retail/Fashion Management and Special Events Director for over 25 philanthropic organizations. She is the former TV fitness personality and writer for “First Stretch” on Fox and CBS in Ohio.
Kara was awarded Top 10 Worldwide for Fitness Programming by Spa Finders Reader’s choice awards. She is the creator of Pilates for Life Core Fitness program, CoreFlex for Athletes and The 50-Minute Fitness Retreat DVD, featured in Pilates Style Magazine. Kara is one of the Fitness Experts of Spa Finders 365 Wellness blogs.
