Fitness, Yoga, Pilates, Zumba Classes and More

The Club at CopperWynd offers over 35 fitness and aerobics classes weekly. Members are able to relieve stress and improve flexibility with a hot yoga class, tone their muscles by attending Pilates, relax with the slow graceful movements of Tai Chi, and get energized by the excitement of Zumba every single week.

ACCELERATED CORE

A combination of Pilates, yoga and traditional sport training exercises are used to improve abdominal, back and stabilizing muscle strength.

AQUA AEROBICS

Shallow water class utilizing pool toys for added buoyancy and flotation. Hydro-tone paddles and booties will be used to give you resistance in water for maximum muscle toning. A must for individuals needing to avoid impact on the joints. Pool temperature is kept at a comfortable level. Not designated as an Arthritis Class.

Advanced Aqua - 40 min. high-intensity aerobic conditioning.

BAR & BALANCE

This class will use the Stability Ball and other props to target core muscles to improve balance and posture. By incorporating the Stability Ball, you can gain improvment in core alignment and muscle strength, flexibility and coordination.

BODY BAR FLEX

Increase flexibility and range of motion while building strength. Using controlled movements, you will strengthen the core which improves functional range of motion and balance. This class is great for everyone, including people starting an exercise program, golfers, and tennis players.

BOSU FITNESS

This cross-training class will incorporate cardio, strength, endurance and core training using the BOSU with a major focus on balance training. Space is limited, please arrive early.

CIRCUIT TRAINING

A fun and exciting cardiovascular workout incorporating interval training. Combines weights, cardio and pylometrics. A great way to get your body moving!

HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING

Alternate between bursts of intense activity and fixed periods of low-intensity activity. Increase calorie burn, cardio endurance, muscle mass and metabolism.

KETTLEBELLS

Cast iron weights with a handle are used to perform ballistic exercises which combine cardiovascular, strength and flexibility training. Traditional kettlebell exercises are performed with an emphasis on safety.

PILATES

Pilates This class consists of series of controlled exercises that engage the mind & body to develop strong, flexible muscles, without bulk, improve posture and enhance mental awaremess.

Pilates Deep Stretch is core strengthening utilizing traditional Pilates exercises followed-up with
deep stretching. Great class for everyone!

Pilates Pump Combination of traditional weight lifting techniques with mat Pilates exercises. Class emphasizes improving overall muscular strength and flexibility. Fitness shoes are required to safety purposes.

SPINNING®

An indoor cycling class using various energy zones-It's the fastest way to get in shape! We recommend cycling shoes, padded bike shorts & heart rate monitors.

TABATA

Fit in 4 Minutes with High Intensity Interval Cardiovascular Training interspersed with weightlifting. Push yourself in this fast paced challenging class. Work at your own intensity level – high impact or low impact, you choose. Come see what all the buzz is about.

TAI CHI

A Chinese martial art that combines diaphragmatic breathing and relaxation with slow, graceful and gentle movement.

YOGA

Yoga is beneficial for relieving stress and overall sense of well being by promoting balance, flexibility, strength and relaxation through various postures and breathing techniques. Concentrates on progressive flexibility and strength for the total body.

YogaBASICS teaches basic yoga poses with an emphasis on proper alignment and safety. A great class for participants new to yoga.

YOGAFlow integrates flowing yoga postures with stretching and breathing. Create health, happiness, and harmony in you body, mind and soul. All levels are welcome.

Therapeutic Yoga Based on therapeutic exercises for the neck, shoulders, lower back, knees and other physical issues. Fine tuning ones ability to move gracefully and efficiently. The end result is deep relaxation.

Gentle Yoga 45 minute practice for the neck and shoulders, followed by a 45 minute class for the lower back and hips.

Meditation For 10 minutes, students will explore the use of sound to lengthen the breath and quiet the mind. The remainder of the class will be a seated or supine experience of silence and mindfulness.

Heated Yoga Performed in a heated room (approximately 85-90 degress), allowing the participants to stretch more effectively, improve muscle tone, increase calorie burn and sweat to release toxins. Please be fully hydrated 1-hour before class. Drinking water is required in class. Not suitable for pregnant women or those with heart conditions. Please check with your doctor if you have any questions.

YOGALATES

The best of Yoga and Pilates combined in one 60-minute class.

ZUMBA

The feel happy workout. ZUMBA is a fusion of Latin and International dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps.
